CREATIVE DIRECTION

NIKE X TIFFANY&CO.

To bookend Nike’s year-long celebration of the AirForce 1’s 40th anniversary, we created a legendary collaboration by partnering with Tiffany&Co to create a legendary pair of the AF1’s. Nike AF1 + Tiffany&Co = Legendary Pair.

This body of work can be found in the January 29, 2023 Sunday edition of the New York Times, on Instagram at @nike, @tiffanyandco, @carmeloanthony, @nikesportswear and @nikewomen, the Nike SNKRS app, and throughout the Nike retail partner experiences.

We partnered with Carmelo Anthony to represent the collaboration. His on-court persona, couples with his documented love of luxury made him the perfect partner for this campaign. During his college days at Syracuse and later on the Knicks, he made a lasting impact on NYC basketball culture that has cemented his legacy and he’s now considered a perennial of the city.

Through the lens of Henry Leutwyler, the standing photographer of Tiffany&Co, we captured tight shots of the legendary pair to reflect a similar approach to capturing the iconic pieces of T&Co jewelry.

On Jan 31, the day our campaign launched for the collaboration, LeBron James wore the customized Nike x Tiffany & Co limited edition varsity jacket and AF1’s as his tunnel walk fit at Madison Square Garden in New York for the Knicks vs Lakers game. He was the first person seen to be laced up with a pair since the announcement of the collaboration.

The jacket was made by Settlemier’s, a jacket manufacturer in Portland, Oregon.
